Over the past three years, Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton has faced significant funding cuts, leaving many of us to self-fund our Olympic dreams. Despite representing our country on the world stage, athletes like myself now carry the financial burden of training, equipment, travel, and competition—costs that were once partially covered by our national federation.
This shift means that to continue competing at the highest level, we rely heavily on personal savings, community support, and corporate sponsorships. For me and my team, every dollar makes a difference—not just in getting to the start line, but in making sure we can compete safely, confidently, and with the tools we need to succeed.
Without support, essential components of our preparation—like access to world-class equipment, additional training runs, and international competition experience—become financially out of reach.
